**About the position**

The Project Legal Officer reports to the Vp of Finance you will be responsible for providing legal support and expertise across various internal projects. As a key member of our legal team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assess legal risks, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

**Key responsibilities**
- Lead, coordinate and Provide legal guidance and support on internal projects, including reviewing commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Participate in the implementation of the company legal suite systems, by proposing evolution to existing processes, aligning them with modern legal practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify legal requirements and mitigate potential risks.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Leverage your experience with legal technology to drive lean and efficient operations.
- Formalize processes, implementing collaborative legal tools, creating workflows, and training employees
- Utilize scalable tools and solutions to support the growth and scalability of the company
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and licensing agreements.
- Ensure contract terms and conditions align with company policies and protect the company's interests.
- Maintain accurate contract records and assist in contract administration processes.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations.
- Assess legal risks associated with business activities and propose risk mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.

**Minimum Experience and qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a commercial law or technology-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property rights, and data protection regulations.
- Experience in implementation of legacy systems and processes would be a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with technology-related legal issues is a plus.
