It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. The deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based solutions to deliver advanced software functionalities is consolidating as a key competitive factor in several industrial domains. In the automotive industry, for instance, two examples of such trend are advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) software, which are meant to support autonomous operation and decision making for all aspects in a vehicle, by processing of a massive amount of data coming from multiple sensors like cameras and LiDARs. The entailed computational requirements can only be matched by complex MPSoCs (Multi-Processor System on Chip) with generic and ah-hoc hardware accelerators. However, MPSoCs complicate established timing analysis practice.**Key Duties**
- Sketch, design and implement a testing environment that enables a fast exploration and prototyping of contention-aware task-to-core and data-to-memory mapping techniques.
- Develop API and wrappers to efficiently manage event monitoring and tracing (e.g. MCDS) hardware in the underlying target, with the goal of improving software timing estimates

**Requirements**:

- Education
- Master’s Degree on Computer Science or Communication Engineering
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Demonstrated practical experience working in AURIX TC2X or TC3X processors
- Demonstrated experience working with tracing solutions (e.g. MCDS) on AURIX processors
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience in statistical analysis is a plus
- Experience on software drivers is a plus
- Competences
- Problem-solving, proactive, collaborative, and result-oriented work attitude
- Good communication skills including proficiency in English (both written and spoken

**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: 01/02/2025
