**Apprentice Service Technician**

**Job Summary**

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Supports qualified Service Technician to install, maintain and repair Survitec safety equipment to standard. This includes learning to deliver discrete steps within the core servicing process under own supervision, as well as working alongside qualified technicians to learn and practice more complex steps under full supervision
- Supports the Service Operations team to implement controlled changes to process to deliver continuous improvement
- Helps specialists set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance and support where needed
- Carries out preventive maintenance inspections under supervision, developing the skills to identify and diagnose requirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs
- Develops knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards, completing personal development path towards becoming competent in core Survitec product

- Follows stores requisition processes to maintain accurate stock levels and records

**Experience and qualification**

Educated to High School level, with 4 GCSEs or equivalent
No prior experience is required for this role, although 1 - 3 years of experienced in a related industry could enable faster learning
No formal management experience required for this role
