The Quantum Nanophotonics Laboratory at the Centro de Física de Materiales - Materials
Physics Center is offering a predoctoral position (1+1+1 years) to work with Prof. Gabriel
Molina-Terriza and Dr. Ruben Pellicer-Guridi developing methods to control and detect
spin control methods to efficiently manipulate and entangle spin states for advanced
quantum sensing in a multidisciplinary collaboration with Prof. Géza Giedke (DIPC) and Dr.
Jorge Casanova (EHU-UPV). The work will involve developing state-of-the-art electronics
and quantum optics instrumentation.

The positions will be funded by MCIN and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR
- C17.I1, as well as by IKUR Strategy under the collaboration agreement between Ikerbasque
Foundation and DIPC on behalf of the Department of Education of the Basque Government.

Center. The salary will be of 17.398,20 euros during the first year before taxes.

The Quantum Nanophotonics Laboratory Group at the Center of Materials Physics
addresses fundamental research on quantum technologies. Current research topics in the
group include quantum control of the nuclear and electronic spins in Nitrogen Vacancy
want to develop a new set of devices based on the quantum control of NVs for nuclear
magnetic resonance and magnetometry. We also work on other quantum technologies, such
as a levitated systems and quantum photonics, using entangled photon sources and

Materials Science or related disciplines. Expertise and demonstrated hands-on-experience
in optics, microwave/radio-frequency instrumentation will be highly appreciated for this
particular position. Knowledge in programming languages will be positively evaluated.
