**The Institute**

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the Institute's commitment to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code).

**The role**

The Helpdesk intern will be assisting the other Helpdesk technicians with the responsibility of resolving user requests of any kind, both in-situ or remotely.

The main tasks are:

- User ticket resolution
- Troubleshooting and administration of users
- Installation and support of computer Hardware
- Installation and support of computer Software
- Support for meetings and rooms
- Support of printers
- Support of telephone lines and mobile devices

**About the team**

The Corporate IT Team is responsible for providing IT services to over 500 users in two different locations (Barcelona Biomedical Research Park - PRBB and Barcelona Scientific Park - PCB). The department is divided into 3 areas: the Helpdesk team - responsible for the direct support to the user, the Systems Administration team - in charge of administrating all the IT systems and the Web team - responsible of the web development and support.

**Professional experience**

**Must Have**
- You are currently studying a “Cicle Formatiu”, Bachelor or Master Degree in Computing, Telecommunications or related
- You have the availability to do a student placement agreement through your Institute/ University

**Desirable but not required/ Nice to **have**
- You have knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, Mac OS
- You have knowledge of Linux main distributions (CentOS, Ubuntu)
- You have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office365
- You have knowledge of hardware installation and PC assembly
- You have knowledge of smartphones and common telephony
- You have knowledge of audio-visuals (projectors, etc)
- You have knowledge of networks (LAN, WIFI)
- Knowledge of SharePoint will be appreciated

**Languages**
- You talk English, Spanish and Catalan
