**Qualifications**:
We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive, experienced profile in Risk Projects and Processes.
Some aspects that will be valued:

- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Maths, Physics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics
- At least 3+ of experience in defining and implementing projects
- Strong project management skills with multi-disciplinary teams, coordination with Engineering teams, etc.
- Analytical and programming skills. (SQL, Python, R)
- International experience and interpersonal skills in a multinational and multicultural environment
- Track record in complex multi-national organizations
- English C1.

Our area
The Global Risk Management (GRM) unit has a clear strategy to aid in bank´s growth and risk-adjusted profitability and recurrent value creation, using a model portfolio approach to manage the group’s activity as a basis for better capital and better risk management digitization framework.

You will join the Data & Advanced Analytics team in the GRM area. The team is responsible for the development of methodologies and models in the field of risk modeling of the BBVA group. The analysis and use of new data sources and the implementation of new modeling techniques is a core activity within this team.

What you will do
Assuming hands-on responsibility in the planning, development & implementation of Advanced IRB Models Infrastructure. The core is PD, LGD, EAD estimation technology components, but coordinating with other activities that affect the entire credit risk models life cycle (model use in the business areas and capital implications in Finance). All by collaborating in development of a strategic vision and a transformation roadmap, promoting best practices, and coordinating and supporting other risk functions in all associated initiatives. These are some of the main tasks:

- Transform our project capabilities to:

- Achieve best in class risk parameters estimation infrastructure for both capital and provisions, focusing on the use of traditional and non traditional data sources and external data
- Ensure that the process and technology deployed will satisfy the supervisor expectations.
- Optimize processes, boosting globality, automation and integration, researching and evaluating best practices and methodologies that can be implemented successfully
- Support related business plans and initiatives to the Rating Systems (both wholesale and retail) and models affected, leading pilots to test and learn new data, new techniques, etc. for existing or new segments of clients/portfolios.
- Analysis, monitoring and definition of the continuous enhancements required to improve the risk processes.
- Lead, motivate and inspire our team, ensuring professional challenges that match their expectations, creating long term engagement and commitment Fluent communication and coordination with local risk, engineering, business and support areas teams.
