**Mission**:
The aim of this position is to play a key role in the development and improvement of automotive interior products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure the successful execution of projects and the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the design team (to develop innovative and feasible solutions for automotive interior products, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, ergonomics, and cost), with manufacturing and quality teams (to optimize the production process, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs) and with suppliers and external partners (to develop and qualify new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes).
- Conduct product feasibility studies, including engineering analysis, prototyping, and testing, to validate design concepts and ensure they meet the required specifications and industry standards.
- Generate and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including product specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing instructions.
- Participate in design and engineering reviews, providing technical expertise and recommendations to ensure product performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify and resolve design, manufacturing, and quality issues through root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Support product launch activities, including process validation, sample production, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- English and German: high level.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Engineer or a related role in the automotive industry (knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations, customer requirements and manufacturing processes).
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD and expertise in PLM Teamcenter software will also be highly valued.
- Experience with engineering analysis tools, such as finite element analysis (FEA) or computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Familiarity with quality management systems and methodologies, such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues, to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
