To achieve our goals, we are currently looking for a **MEA Process Technician.**
The person recruited will work closely with scientists and engineers in the New Product Introduction (NPI) pipeline and will play a key role in the industrialisation of the new products developed. The work will be structured into different projects to fully satisfy the various stages of the NPI process. The projects will involve the following activities:
**About the Role**
You will play a key role in taking new products from concept to production scale, focusing on the following technologies:
- Roll to roll coating process or tape casting
- Screen printing
- Ink jet printing
- Powders milling and mixing
- 3D printing
- Porous products infiltration
- Support and participate in all the work required to make the NPI process a success by finding the best operating settings for the equipment used.
- Development of processes aimed at improving various common manufacturing KPIs (such as OEE): Availability (e.g. changeovers), Performance (e.g. process speed) and Quality (e.g. scrap reduction)
***Responsabilidades**
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner.
- Perform all activities related to the job description to the highest standard
- Design and conduct critical experiments (DoE) and analyse data
- Develop a high capable process
- Support the transfer of new technologies from R&D to production ramp-up and qualification.
- Execution of process scale-up programmes at pilot scale. Drive the creation of analytical and process data to develop robust understandings of the processes. Subsequently, maintain a robust culture of intellectual property development and capture.
- Ensure delivery of required project deliverables to a high quality and on time.
- Lead or participate in project and study teams as appropriate to the scope of work and support business development by providing technical input to proposals.
- Produce work instructions to standardise processes
**Other key responsibilities**:
- Suggest process improvements
- Participate in design and process FMEA
- Organise and manage pilot plant or industrial trials
- Support other areas of the business as required (Stack Assembly, BoP and others)
- Establish a good working relationship with all the teams in our Centre of Competence and ensure that information flows appropriately
- Bachelor’s degree in **Chemical Engineering** or **Chemistry** (advanced degree preferred).
- **Passion for process improvement** and **technological innovation** in manufacturing.
- Practical experience in **continuous coating (roll-to-roll)**, **screen printing**, **inkjet processing**, or **additive manufacturing**.
- Strong understanding of **process variability** and its impact on **product quality**.
- Proficiency in **Six Sigma tools** and **methodologies** for process improvement.
