Legal Counsel

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in providing legal guidance and support to the company. You will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks, and facilitate business transactions. Your expertise in Spanish, UK, or German law will be instrumental in protecting our company's interests and assisting other stakeholders in making informed decisions.

**Key Tasks**:

- ** Legal Advice and Guidance**: Provide accurate and timely legal advice and guidance to the employees on various legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, employment law, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. Analyze complex legal issues and propose practical solutions that align with business objectives.
- ** Contract Management**: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, employment agreements, and licensing agreements. Ensure contracts are legally sound, protect the company's interests, and minimize risks.
- ** Compliance and Risk Management**: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance. Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate them.
- ** Litigation and Dispute Resolution**: Collaborate with external counsel, when necessary, to manage litigation and disputes involving the company.
- ** Corporate Governance**:Support corporate governance matters, including maintaining corporate records, preparing board resolutions, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements. Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory filings and disclosures.
- ** Training and Education**: Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees to enhance legal awareness and promote compliance with legal and ethical standards. Develop and deliver educational materials on relevant legal topics to facilitate understanding across the organization.
- Juris doctor or bachelor/master’s degree in law.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (C2 level).
- Proven experience as a legal counsel or attorney with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international corporate or business environment.
- Strong knowledge of law (proficiency in** **Spanish law is mandatory, with additional proficiency in the UK, German, or US law preferred), including corporate law, contract law, employment law, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess risks and make informed recommendations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to results, maintaining confidentiality.
- Solid understanding of the agile frameworks and principles.
