Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Barcelona for our hybrid working model.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in full-stack web development, specializing in NodeJS, React, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Express. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and secure web applications, leveraging your deep expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies. You will help lead the architecture and implementation of new features, optimize performance, and ensure code quality through thorough testing and best practices in software development. Your role involves actively and consistently engaging in hands-on coding to drive projects to completion. You will mentor other software engineers, foster a collaborative team environment, and contribute to the overall technical direction of the projects. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to deliver high-quality software on time, lead major initiatives, and continuously improve the development processes and technical standards within the team. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a commitment to staying current with industry trends and technologies.Candidate ProfileThe qualified candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:Excellent English communication skills (verbal, and written)Minimum 9 years of experience architecting and developing full-stack web applications, with a minimum of 2 years as a staff software engineer on a software development teamDemonstrable mastery of NodeJS and TypeScript, with in-depth knowledge of React, and libraries/frameworks such as Express or NextJSStrong understanding of RESTful API development using NodeJS and related technologies and librariesIn-depth understanding of software development concepts such as scalability, observability, software design patterns, performance optimization, and web application security principles and practicesDemonstrated ability to actively engage in coding and software development tasks, leading by example and staying current with the latest development practicesDeep knowledge and hands-on expertise with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
