If you're swift to action, confident to lead, willing to collaborate, and curious about what science can do, then you're our kind of person.Typical Accountabilities as a Public & Government Affairs Manager: Contributes to multiple Corporate Affairs and communications projects to help AstraZeneca communicate important corporate messages to internal and external partnersContributes to engagements with key internal or external groups, such as sales teams, external charities, industry associations, embassies, government lobbyists and regulatorsCarries out research, either individually or as part of a team, into more complex areas of government legislation, regulation, managed markets or public policySupports the development of public affairs/government affairs strategy to influence patients' paths.Liaises with brand managers and other internal colleagues to explain how internal or external developments can affect their brands or areas of responsibilityHelps brand leaders develop communications programs and strategies tied to their respective brand strategiesBuilds and participates in internal and external networks to share information in the legislative, regulatory or public policy arena and disseminate standard methodologies internallyMay manage data information systems to keep track of external relations with various social groups or charitiesMay engage with lobbyists or government/ regulatory officialsMay lead all aspects of the regulatory submissions for particular product categories or brandsMay have budget management responsibilitiesMay be encouraged to influence colleagues in other areas/functions and/or in groupsActs as resource in one or more areas of Corporate Governance, helping managers and colleagues resolve more complex Corporate Affairs and communication related issuesEducation, Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential2 years of experience in Government Affairs in Pharma sector, preferably with focus on at least one of the following therapeutic areas: CVRM, Respiratory, vaccines, oncology
