We promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, fostering an environment where each and every one of us is appreciated for who we are, regardless of our differences.Context And Mission The Parallel Programming Models (PM) group is one of the biggest groups composed of more than 30 PhD students, support engineers, postdocs and senior researchers. The PM group is involved in several National and European projects and is looking for scientists from the national and international community who wish to develop their career in a stimulating environment.Key DutiesMaintain and improve the integration of the Fast Task Scheduler with the RISC-V architecturePort HPC applications to the RISC-V environment with the Fast Task SchedulerEvaluate the performance of HPC applications accelerated on the RISC-V environment with the Fast Task SchedulerRequirementsEducation Master in Computer Sciences or equivalent degreeEssential Knowledge and Professional Experience Strong programming skills (C/C++, FORTRAN)Deep knowledge of High Level Synthesis and Hardware Description Languages for FPGAsDeep knowledge of RISC-V based systemsAdditional Knowledge and Professional Experience Extensive knowledge of Computer Architecture and Programming ModelsKnowledge of OmpSs@FPGA and the Fast Task SchedulerCompetences Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines and pressureAbility to work independently and in a teamConditionsThe position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences DepartmentWe offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, and support for relocation proceduresDuration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget durationHolidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreementSalary: competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experienceStarting date: 16/10/2024Applications procedure and process All applications must be made through the BSC website and contain: A full CV in English including contact detailsA Cover Letter with a statement of interest in English, including two contacts for further references - Applications without this document will not be considered In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy
