As the Senior Medical Writer, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our dynamic Publications and Scientific Communications team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.
This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and contribute significantly to the field of medical writing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Write, edit, and expertly manage publications and other scientific communications, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to timelines and budgetsResolve project management issues with utmost professionalism, proactively addressing any out-of-scope activitiesMaintain strict compliance with quality processes and requirements to deliver world-class deliverablesRepresent the team as a prime contact on projects, demonstrating proven leadership and exceptional communication skillsLead and contribute to initiatives for process improvement, driving ambitious goals for the teamEducation, Professional Skills, & Experience:Possess extensive and proven experience (5+ years) in publication writing, preferably in a CRO environmentDemonstrate excellent scientific writing, project management, and computer skillsPossess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field or equivalent and relevant formal qualification; experience in the fieldwill also be considered.
Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree.Exhibit in-depth knowledge of relevant specialty areas of medicineAdditional qualifications such as AMWA, EMWA, or RAC training, or CMPP certification would be advantageousPersonal Skills & Competencies:Display exceptional proficiency in written English, ensuring clear and concise communicationApply exceptional analytical and mathematical skills to produce top-notch scientific contentThrive in problem-solving, approaching challenges with creativity and resourcefulnessCreate, communicate, and successfully implement effective project plans, demonstrating strong organizational skillsDemonstrate professional judgment when addressing inquiries, issues, and concerns, making autonomous decisions and resolving problems.Excel in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects concurrently while meeting fixed budgets and timelinesFoster collaboration and facilitate conflict resolution among team members and clientsProactively communicate updates, progress, and challenges to ensure a streamlined workflowJoin our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and be part of our mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
