Horizons is representing a multinational Trading Company founded in Russia to hire a COO in Shanghai. Company Overview: Our client is a global, export-oriented trading company headquartered in Shanghai. We specialize in developing and manufacturing products under our own brands, partnering with factories, and exporting these products to various countries through the world's largest e-commerce platforms. For the past six years, we have been committed to providing our customers with high-quality products at competitive prices. Our Key Achievements: ? Operations in 5 countries; ? In-house warehouses and logistics fleet; ? 16 proprietary brands; ? Over 1,000 unique products in categories such as home, sports, electronics, health, and children's goods; ? Successfully fulfilled over 2,000,000 orders in 2023. Our office is located in the heart of Shanghai at: No.888 Sichuan North Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, China Key Responsibilities: Business Growth and Market Analysis Collaborate with industry experts to develop growth strategies and explore new market opportunities. ? Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the competitive landscape. ? Build relationships with key external stakeholders, including government regulatory bodies. Operational Leadership ? Oversee the daily operations of the Shanghai office, ensuring seamless coordination between departments. ? Implement ERP systems to streamline operations and drive efficiency. ? Lead and mentor the office team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Supplier and Partner Relations ? Establish and manage an efficient supplier and factory search system in China. ? Conduct high-level negotiations with senior executives from suppliers, factories, and banks. ? Manage relationships with suppliers and resolve conflicts to maintain strong, long-term partnerships. Supply Chain Management ? Oversee logistics operations, manage purchase orders, and ensure compliance with export regulations. ? Develop and execute export customs procedures, ensuring smooth VAT refund processes. Requirements: ? Bachelor's degree or higher in International Trade, Economics, Law, or a related field. ? Minimum of 8 years' experience in export trade. ? Strong understanding of Chinese export laws and regulations. ? Proven ability to establish systems for identifying suppliers and securing the most competitive pricing in the market. ? Expertise in developing employee motivation and performance systems focused on improving the company's economic indicators. ? Strong track record in building systems to control and reduce company costs. ? Fluency in both English and Chinese, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. ? Proficiency in ERP systems, and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
