We promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, fostering an environment where each and every one of us is appreciated for who we are, regardless of our differences.Context And MissionThe Performance Tools group inside the Computer Sciences department of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center offers a researcher position to work in the R+D activities and projects both developing performance tools and with the role of analyst using the tools.Key DutiesContribute to the development of the Basic Analysis toolContribute to the development of the Clustering toolAnalyst of POP3 assessments and servicesParticipate in the group's R&D projectsContribute and lead research publicationsRequirementsEducationComputer Science PhDEssential Knowledge and Professional ExperienceAt least 3 years experience developing performance toolsMinimum 3 years experience with BSC performance toolsParallel programming models (MPI, OpenMP, ...)Programming languages (C, C++, Fortran, Python) and development tools (SVN, GIT ...)Additional Knowledge and Professional ExperienceExperience in support activitiesCompetencesAbility to work in a team/projectFlexible work schedule and availability to travelGood English communication skillsConditionsThe position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences DepartmentWe offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation proceduresDuration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget durationHolidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreementSalary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in BarcelonaStarting date: Jan 1st 2025Applications procedure and processAll applications must be made through the BSC website and contain:A full CV in English including contact detailsA Cover Letter with a statement of interest in English, including two contacts for further references - Applications without this document will not be consideredDeadlineThe vacancy will remain open until a suitable candidate has been hired.
