Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture. #GrowWhatMatters As the Horticultural Lead, you will manage the daily operations of the greenhouses at the Europe SPD Technology Center in Seville. You will oversee greenhouse operations, hire, train, and coordinate greenhouse workers with other areas. All activities will be coordinated in collaboration with other area leaders. You will oversee activities to ensure reliable and stable sunflower and corn production, meeting quality, quantity, and timeline targets for project deliverables. Your responsibilities will include all steps from transplanting through plant growth and harvesting. Your Challenge: Guide the accelerated production process of high-quality sunflower, corn, and other crops. Coordinate with various departments (Laboratory, Facility, Seed Handling, and Population Development) to manage workloads efficiently. Design and implement process improvements and protocols. Communicate key safety messages and proactively engage with stakeholders and customers. Ensure accurate data collection to maintain a precise database. Promote positive work attitudes and harmonious relations among staff. Supervise, evaluate, and mentor staff to ensure safe and efficient work in line with research protocols. Location: Sevilla, Spain Qualifications To Grow What Matters, You Will Need University degree or master's degree in greenhouse management, engineering, horticulture, or related fields. Minimum of 6 years in research, with at least 2 years in a controlled environment. Robust understanding of plant biology and horticulture. Strong leadership and people management skills, with proven ability to effectively train staff. Advanced user of MS Office programs; familiarity with PowerBI is a plus. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English (B2 level) is desired. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. A collaborative attitude, good communication and critical thinking skills, and a knack for creative problem-solving are essential. Who Are We Looking For?
