MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Delray Beach, Florida, Boca Raton, Florida, and Madrid.ABOUT THE POSITION:We are looking for an ambitious Accounting Intern to provide support to the Accounting Operations department by managing daily accounting tasks.
You will be part of an international team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the group's accounting data, systems, and processes.Execution of accounting closing tasks and preparing financial statements for the assigned renewable energy portfolios within the MN8 Group, under American accounting policies (US GAAP) and SOX control environment, are a large part of the Accounting Intern's day-to-day work.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.As the Accounting Intern, you will:Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded for projects and assigned companiesUpdate accounts payable and perform reconciliationsPrepare account & bank reconciliationsReview expensesCalculate and record accruals and provisionsReview and analyze Inter company transactionsPrepare and submit closing reportsAnalyze monthly closing and evaluation of the financial statements of the projects and companies assigned, including an analysis of budget deviationsPrepare quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statementsCooperate with other departments & external auditorsPost and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recordedOur ideal candidate will have:Fluent EnglishExcellent organizing abilitiesGreat attention to detailGood with numbers and figures and analytical acumenUnderstanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practicesAbility to meet tight deadlinesKnowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer softwareBachelor or Graduate degree in business administration, economy, accounting, or a related fieldMN8 Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and fully subscribes to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity to ensure that all applicants and employees are considered for hire, promotion, and job status without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital or familial status.
