Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.Position Overview:Dow Jones is looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of data to drive business enablement and efficiency. Our data governance framework ensures data accuracy, security, and accessibility. As we implement a new data catalog tool, the Data Governance Analyst will oversee its implementation, maintenance, and alignment with our data governance policies. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance. Additionally, the Data Governance Analyst will support broader data governance initiatives by developing and enforcing governance standards, conducting data quality assessments, and improving internal documentation. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of data governance principles, strong data and analytical skills, a passion for data and organization, and a willingness to be challenged and learn.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support the implementation of data governance tooling and projects, including data catalog solutions, from idea to completion.Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.Establish and maintain governance standards around data lineage, quality management, and reporting by collaborating with governance leaders and relevant business units.Collaborate with data owners, technical teams, embedded business analysts and stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent data definitions and standards
