As the Senior Accounting Manager , you will provide first-line direct support for the Structured Finance VP in the region for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Executive Financial Reporting, and collaboration with legal country staff regarding the Structured Finance portfolio.
What You Will Do: Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Preparing or leading preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present and expected operations. Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff, and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems. What You Can Demonstrate: Planning: Tactical, Strategic : Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance. Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace. Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes. Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports. Consideration for Top Candidates: FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis): Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives. Expertise in developing long-term strategic alliances and partnerships that increase the company's competitive advantage. Proficiency in preparing thorough briefings and consultations for business decisions. Portfolio Management: Proven track record of managing financial and administrative support functions to ensure financial objectives are fully achieved. Experience in assessing existing and proposed financial plans and policies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Skilled in analyzing complex financial data and compiling detailed reports. Legal Entity Accounting: Extensive experience in performing full cycle accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. Proficiency in managing fixed assets, capital leases, and improving the month-end close process. Strong background in implementing accounting standards and performing goodwill impairment tests. Strategic Leadership: Ability to guide teams through predictable stages of development and support their success. Expertise in developing and implementing integrated talent strategies, driving employee engagement, and ensuring organizational effectiveness. Proven success in leading through change while building a strong culture to drive business results. Expert Communicator at All Levels: Strong presence and ability to build trust through effective communication. Skilled in influencing high-impact, high-risk, and highly complex situations. Demonstrated ability to lead business partners to effective communication solutions and build relationships within and outside the organization. Posting Dates: October 22, 2024 - November 4, 2024
