Job ResponsibilitiesLogistics in Suntory Beverage and Food includes warehousing, transport, pallets, and forklifts for a total spend of 160m euros per year in all Europe, as well as approximately 100 suppliers and a team of 3 people. In that context, as Logistics Senior Buyer, you are part of the Industrial Procurement Team (10 people). You will work daily on 3 areas.
Create long-lasting relations with your internal and external stakeholders. As a Business Partner on logistics, you will be responsible for the GB & Spanish markets (i.e., 65m euros spend), from searching for new sourcing to tendering and embedding strong relationships with new suppliers. You will work closely with European Operations, Finance, and Legal teams, developing specifications, negotiating with suppliers, preparing sourcing cases for decision-making, managing contracts, and looking for new opportunities and efficiencies in the categories you manage, including reducing our carbon footprint to meet 2030 Suntory Group objectives.Manage the logistics strategy regarding your perimeter in terms of purchasing. This means maintaining and improving an efficient outbound logistics network in continental Europe, in collaboration with various cross-functional stakeholders. Your interest in understanding the Supply Chain function will help you to create your logistics category. You will lead one or two European categories, building the strategic plan, influencing and implementing it while monitoring its impacts.Ensure suppliers meet delivery and service targets. Your data interest and desire to work continuously in an efficient way will help you ensure good KPI evolution and develop appropriate action plans with suppliers to drive better efficiency and effective risk management. You will ultimately contribute to driving team efficiency and defining best-in-class sourcing processes and tools.About usSuntory is a Japanese company and the world's third biggest player in the drinks industry.
