The Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute (IJC) is a non-profit research institute based in Barcelona dedicated to advancing the understanding of leukemia and related disorders, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The IJC has laboratories on 5 clinical campuses: i) Hospital Clínic, ii) Hospital de Sant Pau, iii) Germans Trias Hospital, iv) Pujol, and v) Hospital del Mar and Trueta Hospital. IJC serves as a collaboration center for researchers and primary care physicians to work together on fundamental clinical and biological aspects of leukemia.The IJC offers an excellent working environment based on a multidisciplinary fusion of ideas and state-of-the-art facilities.The Human Resources Unit is looking for a human resources technician to carry out recruitment and other support tasks in the HR Unit. The mission of the HR Unit is to strengthen the mission of the IJC by providing high-level services throughout the organization. The HR Unit deals with all issues related to the staff lifecycle: recruitment and selection, training and development, promotion, compensation and benefits, health and safety, onboarding, and leave management.FUNCTIONSRecruitment and selection of assigned research groups: Organize, manage and disseminate job advertisements.Conduct interviews as an HR member on recruitment committees.Maintain our Job Portal and create selection reports.Calculation of personnel costs.Introduction of data into the institute's databases.Manage the employee portal and the clocking software.Collaborate in the management of work permits for international staff.Assist in welcoming new staff and provide training when necessary.Manage the delivery of training and development programmes, especially language courses.Provide support in the activities included in the IJC Career Service (workshops and individual career guidance sessions).Manage internship agreements and collaborations with other institutions.Support the Head of Unit in other talent management and administration functions related to policy development.RequirementsResearch Field: Medical sciences » Cancer researchEducation Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsUniversity degree in Psychology, Labour Sciences or similar.A postgraduate or master's degree in Human Resources will be valued.At least 2 years of experience in recruitment tasks and administrative management of human resources.Experience in managing internship agreements.Experience in CERCA Research Centres and/or Universities will be valued.Good command of MS Office, databases, selection tools, SAP.Good level of professional competence in Catalan and Spanish.Good level of professional competence in the English language.Knowledge or experience in Agile methodology will be valued.SKILLS AND APTITUDESAbility to work in a team, organize and plan.Verbal and written communication skills.Capacity for analysis, detection and supervision.Problem-solving and orientation to the researcher.High performance capacity, load handling and deadlines.Computer skills and new technologies.Interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.Precise, methodical and rigorous.
