About the Role

This Fullstack Software Engineer will play a key role in delivering an exceptional user experience as part of our Product Area Attract, Acquire and Activate team.

The checkout team, comprising eight professionals including Fullstack developers (Node, React), a Mobile developer, and a Product Manager, is responsible for crucial processes across the platform, such as pricing selection, registration, and payment.

We are seeking a Senior profile to drive initiatives forward, serving as a key reference within the team. This individual will lead the technological migration from PHP to NodeJS, focusing on design systems, observability, scalability, and integrations.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, providing technical mentorship to the team while fostering innovation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and actively participate in the migration from PHP to Node.js
  2. Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of key platform services
  3. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and efficient
  4. Work on design systems, observability, and integrations
  5. Take ownership of backend and frontend development using Node.js and React
  6. Develop microservice / serverless architecture
  7. Employ multiple programming paradigms and languages
  8. Work in a dynamic production environment supported by Github Actions and AWS services such as Lambdas, AKS, DynamoDB, etc.
  9. Engage in an agile development process that promotes pair / mob programming
  10. Enhance product iterations based on consumer feedback and behavior data
  11. Mentor junior developers and support best practices within the team
  12. Collaborate closely with Fullstack Engineers and Product Manager
  13. Promote test- and behavior-driven development (TDD / BDD)
  14. Optimize performance and reliability in high-transactional environments

Required Skills

  1. Solid experience developing web-based services with NodeJS
  2. Deep knowledge of TypeScript and React
  3. Strong understanding of REST APIs
  4. Experience with testing frameworks and best practices in TDD / BDD
  5. Proven experience building services in AWS
  6. Passion for working with modern frameworks and technologies
  7. Ability to mentor team members, drive technical decisions, and lead development strategies

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience with high-transactional, stateless systems
  2. Familiarity with PHP, Java, or Rust
  3. Knowledge of DevOps and CI / CD pipelines
  4. Experience working in international teams with English as the primary language
