Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension.
Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.Overview of Role The Energy Unit, specifically the Transmission & Distribution division, is recruiting an HVDC Control and Protection Engineer to join our HVDC team.
You'll work with the existing HVDC team on all matters and projects relating to HVDC projects.
Workload will vary based on business needs and trends of the market but mainly it will cover the stages of a typical HVDC project:Feasibility StudiesSpecification preparationTechnical Bid ReviewDesign AssuranceDesign ReviewSite and FAT visitsOEM Support ServicesSite pre-commissioning and commissioning oversight supervisionTechnical expert servicesCandidate Specification Showcase experience in HVDC, ideally with an OEM, Consultancy, or Owner.
Demonstrate a good understanding of control/networking hardware, cubicle design & drawings, HMI design, protection basic principles, HVDC Control & Protection.
Have a working knowledge of the operational technology, common communication protocols utilized in substation and HVDC systems, and the SCADA systems.
