Mission As a Radio Frequency Engineer of the Avionics Team, your main mission within the area will be to be responsible for all aspects of the Radio Frequency systems (Telemetry, Trackingand Commanding) and development, providing also support on the manufacturing,assembly and its integration in launch vehicles.
Responsibilities Design and implement Telemetry, Trackingand Command systems for new launch vehicles and accommodate a variety of newmission payloadsLead TT&C engineering to developCONOPS, system performance requirements, link budgets, etc.Develop in-house solutions and/orprovide technical management to vendors, oversee delivery, integration andtesting of TT&C systemLead technical interaction withsuppliers to design, build, test, and deliver various RF componentsInteract with other subsystem teams toensure to meet the system level requirementsPlan, perform, and review the RF testsand present as necessaryDesign and implement test benches and RFSCOE to support and execute RF-related test campaignsLead failure investigation,troubleshooting and resolutionsEnsure compatibility with variousexpected mission environments (thermal, vibration, radiation, lifetime, etc.)Support launch and on-orbit operations Necessary Requirements
A minimum of 9 years with a Bachelor'sdegree, or 7 years with a Master's degreeProven track-record of working withaerospace hardware and/or software systems, starting from conceptual designsand tradeoffs through detailed design, development, manufacture, integration,test, deployment, and operations.Familiarity with ECSS and CCSDSstandardsStrong knowledge of communicationssystems concepts (modulation schemes, coding, RF propagation, diversitytechniques, multiplexing, filtering, signaling, etc.)Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science,Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas.Preferred: Master's in STEM (Science,Technical, Engineering, Math) or related scientific areas. Desired Requirements
Proficient at using programmingtools/languages (e.g. Matlab, STK, C++, etc.) to solve complex engineeringproblemsExperience with Spectrum Management andRegulatory agencies, interaction with FCC and ITUExperience with RF-related analyses andsimulations (link budgets, coverage analysis, EMI/EMC, antenna radiationpattern simulations, etc.)Familiarity with elements of spacemission architectures extending beyond the launch vehicle platform - including groundsegment, flight operations, mission CONOPS, user interfaces, etc.Proficiency with MS Office applications.Communicate in a clear and concisemanner effectively across multiple levels.Be team-minded and ready to work in amulti-functional and multi-cultural, fast-moving and complex/technicalenvironment.Flexible attitude and strong initiative.Demonstrated ability to deliver results.Health & Wellness: We want you to be happy and healthy in body and mind.
