British Council Pay band 6 Location: Spain Contract type: Indefinite Contract Closing Date: Wednesday, 21 August, 22:59 CEST You must have the legal right to work in Spain at the time of application.
There is no relocation or sponsorship support.
British Council supports working in new ways such as hybrid working, subject to full approval by line management and conditional upon our ability to provide the appropriate level of service.
This may not be appropriate for all roles but can be explored at interview.
Role purpose As a Talent Acquisition Consultant for the British Council, you will be responsible for finding the best people to join our organisation.
You will be part of the Talent Acquisition (TA) team who connect the British Council with great talent, matching skills to opportunities to enable the organisation to deliver its mission.
You'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional end-to-end recruitment service and support us as we transition the Recruitment function from its current transactional service into a strategic Talent Acquisition service, delivering global performance improvement.
Role context Based within a Regional Hub, you will work closely with TA and People function colleagues, and other stakeholders across the British Council globally.
The British Council operates globally, and this role will need you to have strong communication and organisation skills and an ability to deliver through influence, building relationships internally and providing an exceptional candidate application experience.

Main accountabilities Deliver quality hires for the British Council ensuring all roles have an agreed talent acquisition (TA) plan which is delivered to a high standard (delivery focus is high-volume, repeatable roles).
Recruit vacancies by deploying the end-to-end talent acquisition process; including, but not limited to; leading job briefing calls, sourcing, shortlisting, developing, and maintaining talent pools, advising on recruitment timelines and strategies, scheduling interviews and offer management.
Use data to accurately track and monitor performance of your TA pipeline and ensure resources are effectively utilised to deliver against performance metrics e.g., time to offer, candidate conversion etc.
Develop collaborative working relationships with hiring managers, People function colleagues and relevant teams through pro-active partnership, to create a positive customer experience through all aspects of the TA process.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through sharing ideas and feedback, keeping up to date with external recruitment best practice and aligning to personal professional development.
Support diversity objectives, ensuring all attraction, sourcing and selection activity promotes equal opportunity, delivers a diverse talent pool, and improves the attraction of the British Council to under-represented groups.

Experience building and maintaining relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including overcoming challenges and barriers Experience of delivering hiring to TA performance metrics and mechanisms Confident and clear communicator, with experience of adapting your style and approach for maximum impact Driven and solutions-orientated to provide an advisory level of service to stakeholders, with a focus on delivering to a high standard and achieving agreed metrics Experience of planning and organising, confidence in managing your own time effectively in a fast-paced environment and responding to unforeseen priorities Language Requirements The British Council systems and global processes operate in English.
Written and verbal proficiency in English is required.
Professional Qualification and Certification Recruitment or HR qualification (desirable not essential) A connected and trusted UK in a more connected and trusted world.
