Senior Analyst, Global Risk Advisory Quant
Risk Advisory (RA) is a new way of working in the Value & Risk Advisory ("VRA") leveraging our Intelligence & Data through a global platform within Capital Markets Group (CMG) led by the innovation team.
We are seeking an experienced quant profile with proven financial/real estate risk and quantitative/data skills to join our RA team and be part of the creation and growth of new processes, applying CMG tech tools and quantitative models to originate and deliver RA projects to maximize performance of our existing global business. The RA business has significant potential for growth with this role playing a crucial role in the success of our growth initiative.
This role will focus on the development and continuous improvement of quantitative RA services and processes with a heavy component in data and models. It will have a strong link to RA real estate profiles and the CMG global innovation team and our clients' risk strategies through adopting a data-driven approach in all project stages (origination, evaluation, execution, and client delivery) and developing new services.
You will be the point of reference for advanced users of RA products and services and will work with VRA teams in complex services, including customizing technical solutions for specific projects/markets. You will be based in Madrid and will work within the RA team working with CMG innovation throughout the Globe.
This role will heavily involve data and coding to build prototypes/proof of concept solutions, some of which will turn into products within the JLLT structure. You must possess an entrepreneurial mindset: creative problem-solving, ability to work independently and be a strong team player. Good communication skills are necessary to explain business problems succinctly and in a structured way to our in-house technology partners in JLLT.
Scope of Responsibilities: Support the RA team to execute projects leveraging CMG data and risk quantitative models within the CMG innovation framework.Identify and connect suitable and relevant internal/external real estate databases to enrich the platform, including data ingestion from clients.Build prototypes/proof of concept solutions to generate bespoke solutions and ideas for our strategic clients.Pro-active ideation of solutions to improve the platform, including independent, creative problem-solving to address technical challenges.Educate and drive adoption of data-driven processes, including collecting business requirements and acting as a strategic business partner and liaison for the real estate profiles in the RA team. We are seeking candidates with: Prior experience in financial risk and/or real estate consultancy will be highly relevant.Strong quantitative background in data analytical skills (3 – 5 years' experience).Experience analyzing business processes and procedures to test and improve business operations via big data and technology.SQL, Python (or similar) and Excel are essential.Pyspark, Databricks would be a plus.Solid project management and execution skills, experience working in an autonomous and fast-changing environment.
