.The Supply and Demand Planning Director will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply and demand planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and collaborating with Procurement, Warehouse and Sales to ensure accurate inventory management and customer demands are met. This is both a strategic and analytical role with hands-on management of day-to-day operations.Strategic leader in developing and implementing comprehensive supply and demand planning processes (and SOPs) to support business goals and drive operational efficiency.Collaborate with leadership to align planning strategies with overall business objectives and growth plans.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lending your expertise to support the seamless introduction of new products and modifications to existing offerings throughout the product life cycle; aligning supply/demand forecasts; adjust forecasts accordinglyUtilize data analytics to drive insights and enhance forecasting accuracy and inventory management, including historical sales data, market trends, and business insights.Drive comprehensive planning initiatives encompassing demand and supply planning, finished goods planning, and base planning.Develop and coordinate supply plans to ensure product availability meets customer demand and schedules, while minimizing excess inventory and optimizing stock levels.Present supply and demand planning insights and recommendations to leadership.Champion KPI analytics initiatives, mining insights from data to fuel a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Foster strategic partnerships with contract manufacturing partners, negotiate contracts, and ensure steadfast adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations.Optimize ERP systems, leveraging your proficiency in platforms such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, NetSuite, MS Dynamics and/or others to revolutionize our supply chain management processes.Engineer and execute innovative inventory and warehouse management strategies, meticulously engineered to optimize efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize agility.Employ the principles of cost accounting as a potent tool to dissect, analyze, and optimize supply chain operations, illuminating pathways to enhanced profitability and sustainability.Oversee base and finished goods production, monitoring schedules, yields, and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery.Utilize Excel to develop advanced planning models and analyze key metrics to support decision-making.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)BS / MBA preferred with a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on contract manufacturing and production planning.Previous involvement in the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is advantageous
