.Senior Mechanical Critical Systems EngineerBased on recent project wins, the Cundall Critical Systems sector are growing our team in Madrid. You will join our growing team in our Madrid office, to play a role in delivering innovative design solutions for some of the most notable and large scale data centre projects in the world. Our dedicated Critical Systems team play a key role in making buildings more energy efficient, sustainable and cost effective to operate. The team works solely in the data centre field, keeping abreast of current best practice while researching breakthrough technologies that shape future trends.As a leader in this market, we were one of the first consultancies to design air optimised data centres and are at the forefront of this cooling strategy, which has resulted in attaining the first ever BREEAM 'Outstanding' rating awarded to a data centre and significantly contributed to others achieving LEED 'Gold', or even targeting 'Platinum' status.The team are a source of world leading expertise – and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence. For more information on the Critical Systems team and some notable projects delivered.The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join the Critical Systems team in our Madrid office and to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects in the Datacentre and Critical Systems fields, in the UK and internationally. Notably, the team are working on Data Centres in Spain.As part of our established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare both scheme and detailed designs from feasibility and concept through to detailed engineering design, and site support.You will also have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects, and will be supported towards chartership.The Skills Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent), and having gained experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within a data centre/critical system and building services context.You have proven ability in delivering creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills in English and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.We know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture
