Defining the visualization concept and creating specificationsEditing the overview layouts and customer-specific documentsClarifying order details internally with other departments and externally with customers and suppliersCreating the entire visualizationCommissioning the systemsOccasional system support during the start-up phase until production is handed overTraining of customer personnel and our own service employeesGeneral Responsibilities:To maintain the Dematic image as a top-quality, professional company, by adopting an honest, professional and attentive approach.To maintain good relationships with all internal and external customers, through the provision of a high-quality service.To liaise with other Company Departments, Customers and sub-contractors.To maintain and use wherever possible Dematic standards.To comply with the company policies.To promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time cost and quality or project delivery.Knowledge & Experience Required:HNC/HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimumDesirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant disciplineExperience in a similar roleGood understanding of SCADA systems and where appropriate in PLC and HMI softwareHands-on experience with process visualization systemsGood understanding in the installation and configuration of computer systems and server systemsUnderstanding of distributed control systems desirable not essentialUnderstanding of automated warehouse desirable not essentialBachelor or Master degree in EngineeringTechnical CompetenciesFamiliar with the PC-based process visualization system WinCC or Iconics or Ignition (at least two would be desirable)Design of graphical (user) interfacesCreation of advanced engineering (editors or functions: Tag, Graphics, Alarm, Server/Client, Redundancy, Web Navigator, Multi-Server)Experience in Visual Basic Script (VBS), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and the programming language C, C++Carrying out project migrations and designing interfacesCreative and innovative way of thinkingThe role requires a willingness to travel approximately 30% to our customer locations within the EMEA European region.
