ROLE SUMMARY: King's College, Soto de Vinuelas, world-renowned for academic excellence and student leadership, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring, and ambitious professional to the position of Secondary Teacher of Science for a maternity leave to join our teaching team on a temporary basis in January/February 2025.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers who would like to join our school located in the beautiful city of Madrid.
Located on the outskirts of Madrid, King's College, Soto de Viñuelas is a vibrant, dynamic, and forward-thinking school which embraces diversity and is committed to ensuring success for all our pupils.
Rated "Excellent" in all areas in our recent Penta inspection, we have an exciting opportunity for a Science teacher to join our highly successful team. We are seeking to appoint a flexible and creative practitioner with excellent subject knowledge and effective interpersonal skills, committed to building strong working relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the EU and be fluent in English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To act as a role model for teaching and learning,To make a distinctive contribution to raising standards across the schoolTo continue to develop own expertise in their subject and the art of teachingProvide a sustained and consistent collaborative contribution to the wider work of the school, either internally or outside the schoolProactively seek, create and lead on opportunities that have a demonstrably positive impact on creating an outstanding learning environmentTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:Experience of teaching KS3 science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)Experience of teaching one or more of the sciences at IGCSE/GCSE levelIndependent sector or international experience is highly desirableExcellent working knowledge of the English National Curriculum, the IB Diploma, and recent developmentsFluency in written and spoken EnglishPastoral responsibility or experience would be an advantageWillingness to contribute to the wider life of the schoolKnowledge of Spanish, or willingness to learn Spanish would be an advantageSAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers, and other third parties to share this commitment.
