Maintenance Assistant

Principal Responsibilities: TECHNICALEnsures a safe, comfortable, sanitary environment for residents, staff and visitors in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate requirements.Performs preventative maintenance procedures.Requires full range of body motion.ADMINISTRATIVEMaintains equipment necessary to meet Center needs.Understands department budget.Maintains written records and documents of services performed according to Federal, State and Corporate requirements.May train personnel to meet Center needs.Participates in assigned meetings and in-services.SUPERVISORYMay assume role of Director in his absence.QUALIFICATIONSOne year experience in a long term care center preferred.Ability to read and write English for business necessity.Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs.One year experience in basic trades preferred.Working knowledge of plant support systems (cooling/heating, emergency systems) preferred.CONSUMER SERVICEPresents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.Adheres to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
