Here, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity.Job DescriptionResponsible for performing engineering activities to support planning, designing, construction, maintenance, and alteration of buildings, highways, bridges, airports, dams, tunnels, water/sewage systems, power plants, and transportation system projects. Includes estimating and determining feasibility based on analysis of maps/aerial photographs, soil composition, terrain, hydrology, geology, and environmental impact studies.Discipline concerning highways, streets, transportation systems, drainage and flood control structures, surface and subsurface hydrologies, sewers, tunnels, railroads, airports and airways, geotechnical analysis, waterfronts, water and wastewater systems, water power and supply apparatus, wells, pumps, bridges, dams, irrigation structures, water purification apparatus, incinerators or site fire protection systems, exclusive of significant structures. Research, design and construction of fixed works, other than significant structures.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks as part of a ground and tunnelling engineering team with other engineers at the same functional level that can be from different EC offices (Poland, Spain, India..).Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.Prepares technical specification sections.Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.QualificationsProven track record of working on ground and tunneling engineering designs and collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+10 years) for Transportation and Water Projects.Experience with international regulations and standards.Proficiency in the use of specific ground engineering and tunnelling software as Geoestudio / Plaxis (2D/3D) / Rocscience. Others as FLAC / Midas GTS NX will be considered favorably.Experience in the design of C&C tunnels and shafts &/or Segmental lining.The candidate should be familiarized with tunnelling construction methods and support & lining systems.Experience managing teams acting as project or package manager for the tunnelling & geotechnical studies.Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.Fluent in English (oral and written).Preferred QualificationsBachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.US and/or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably.Additional Information#LI-GA1
