This role requires in-depth knowledge of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the company meets its tax obligations and optimizes its tax position.What will I be doing?Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable transactional tax regulations, including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other indirect taxes.Tax Strategy: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.Reporting: Review tax returns, filings, and other documentation to ensure accurate and timely submission.Audit Support: Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and support.System Implementation: Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and maintain tax compliance systems and software.Research: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the company's operations.Advisory: Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on business transactions, contracts, and new products or services.What skills do I need?Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transactional tax, preferably within the payment processing or financial services industry.Strong understanding of sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other indirect tax regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations in relevant jurisdictions
