We are looking for a highly skilled and service minded Technical Sales & Support Manager to be based in Singapore, serving the APAC region to strengthen our presence. Our expansion in the APAC region calls for an individual with superior technical understanding in the industry, combined with excellent communication skills. You will work closely with customers and lead- and support our sales teams to ensure that the proposed technical solutions align with their needs and expectations.Candidate profile The ideal candidate is a technology-savvy professional with a profound understanding of the Video Contribution & Distribution business. You should possess a positive, service-minded attitude and a strong eagerness to work with a highly skilled and experienced team. In this role, you will engage with customers to interpret their needs, architect technical solutions that align with their objectives, provide technical support, and travel across the APAC region to meet with clients. Main responsibilities Design technical solutions in accordance with customer's technical, commercial and operational needsProvide technical pre-sales support to the Appear sales team, our customers and business partnersProvide technical responses to bids and RFPs/RFIsPeer-group liaison with global solution architects in Europe and The AmericasAttend in remote and on-site customer meetings and PoCs (Proof of Concepts) and customer demonstrationsProvide troubleshooting, problem replication and resolutions of Appear's product solutions in APAC regionProvide on-site and/or remote commissioningKey Qualifications Relevant higher education, to a minimum BSc5+ years of proven work experience as pre-sales / technical sales / support engineerStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand technical and complex video delivery challengesIn-depth understanding of the following topics: Digital video contribution (Uncompressed Video, Production workflows, 2110, NMOS, JPEG-XS, AVC, HEVC, PTP, NDI among other related technologies)Digital video distribution (SRT, RF Modulation, DVB,Mux, Scrambling , IP-over-TS, OTT)Network IP technologies, networks and protocols |(RTP, UDP)Other IT skills (knowledge of: Linux OS, Databases, Script Languages)Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
