Amazon Construction Managers are part of a fast-paced team delivering data centers for our Customers. Our data centers are industry leading examples of energy efficient, cost effective designs.The Data Center Construction Manager is ultimately responsible for the oversight and review of all disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls and commissioning. The Construction Manager will administer all construction contracts and lease contracts ensuring full compliance including all commercial elements for a specific data centre site.Our Data Center Construction team owns and drives the construction life cycle from constructability, proposal development, bid analysis, award, to managing the onsite construction work.The manager will be expected to dive deep and know construction management; inspire and think big about the construction management program; and support, grow, and nurture the team delivering efficient and sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems to our Customers.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilitiesConstruction project management and oversight of construction related activities as they relate to new builds or general capital projects at a specific data centre site. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, and budget.Direct interface with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, and project closeout/punch list phases.Work with general contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high-quality project turn-overs
