Job Description: Job Summary: This is a senior level position in application/system engineering.
The main responsibilities are to provide on-site application support for tier 1 OEM customers and to be the technical liaison between those OEM customers and their corresponding ODM partners worldwide.
Other job responsibilities include defining and debugging analog IC products, developing reference circuits, writing datasheets and application/design notes, and providing technical training for field teams.
Essential Functions: Provide on-site application support for tier 1 OEM customers and be the technical liaison between those OEM customers and their corresponding ODM partners worldwide.Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define and debug analog/digital IC products in DC/DC converters, computing voltage regulators, etc.Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for computing, networking, server, and cloud markets.Write datasheets, application notes, design notes, and papers in magazines and conferences to promote MPS products.Research for new generations of switching power technology.Study and deep understanding of system power architecture across multi-platforms.Work with design engineers, field applications team, and marketing to define new AC/DC ICs.Provide technical support and training for US customers.Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions for AC/DC products.Write articles and application notes.
Qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on experience in switch mode power supplies designs and analog/digital IC applications.Fluent communication skills in both English and Mandarin for the liaison role.Excellent writing and presentation skills.Self-motivated.Previous experience in a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company desired.MSEE or higher required.Innovation and Creativity.Strong system level knowledge in AC/DC converters.5+ years of hands-on experience in AC/DC power development.Familiar with system level simulation and analysis with SIMPLIS and Mathcad.Familiar with FPGA development platform, programming, and digital control in power converters.Good understanding of power devices, ICs, and magnetic components.
