Lead Gameplay Programmer Anchor Point Studios Barcelona based studio, full-remote options AAA AnchorPoint Studios is looking for a Lead Gameplay Programmer to join us in building the future of video game entertainment on a new, groundbreaking 3D Action Title. If you have a strong passion for working with designers and building new gameplay experiences then we'd love for you to work with us in building incredible gameplay experiences with our new Barcelona studio (remote work options available). Job Duties and Responsibilities: Work directly with your Team Lead, Design Team and Art Team in developing new gameplay features. Collaborate closely with art, design, and engine developers to create, iterate, and improve gameplay features. Experiment with game design through rapid prototyping to explore innovative gameplay possibilities and interactive experiences. Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, including career development, performance evaluations, and goal setting. Work in close collaboration with the engineering and design teams to craft memorable gameplay experiences. Prototype, implement, and maintain gameplay systems Write robust, readable and maintainable code Write documentation and technical specs for created gameplay features Help set priorities and goals with appropriate timelines for production Follow the code quality standards set by the Technical Director Optimize and fix any possible bugs in gameplay systems Position Requirements: At least 7+ years of experience working in the video game industry Understanding of performance and memory management Proficiency in C++ Programming Language Experience and understanding of Unreal Engine, preferably Unreal Engine 5 Experience and understanding of multiplayer environments for games as services (GaaS) Ability to complete assignments independently with limited supervision Experience with at least one full life-cycle of game development for any console title Be able to use creative problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking Why Anchor Point Studios?
