Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ICU – Gen 2 Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, 12×3, 36hrs per week, Every Other Weekend Coverage
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements: OH License Trauma Level II Experience required BLS ACLS NIH TNCC or TCAR preferred Trauma Level I Experience preferred Other Details: Documentation System: Epic Required 1st time Traveler not accepted No Local Travelers Within 50 Miles COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline):Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only No Local Travelers Within 50 Miles Avg Daily Census: 14

Every Other Weekend Coverage
Documentation System: Epic Required
Patient Diagnoses: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid endarterectomy, Distal Bypass, Sepsis, Trauma, Bowel Perforation, Arterial Thrombosis, Pulmonary embolism , Free flap for oral/facial/pharyngeal reconstruction
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Level 1 Trauma facility, dedicated trauma ICU unit with TNCC or TCAR certification, NIH stroke certification, Resident physician in unit coverage 24/7
Special Equipment: Nx-Stage- CRRT, Belmont rapid infuser, Hot line fluid warmer, Artic Sun- for targeted temperature management, EKOS
Certification Required – ACLS, BLS, NIH
Work Settings: Surgical Intensive Care Unit
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias
Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols
IV therapy: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
Respiratory/Thoracic: Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT)
Professional Topics and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac

Aside from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress updates and support to patients and/or their family.
