VHIR embraces Equality and Diversity.As reflected in our values, we work toward ensuring inclusion and equal opportunity in recruitment, hiring, training, and management for all staff within the organization, regardless of gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, age, disability, or race.Clinical Researcher - Neurodegenerative Diseases The Neurodegenerative Diseases Group is a translational multidisciplinary research team that collaborates in research activities and the development of new drugs through participation in clinical trials phases I, II, III, and IV, and clinical research projects to improve the quality of life of patients with Parkinson's Disease and other Movement Disorders. The research conducted in our group is geared toward identifying genetic risk, elucidating the molecular mechanisms of neuron cell death occurring in Parkinson's disease (PD), a common neurodegenerative disorder, in order to develop new therapeutic strategies aimed at blocking neuronal dysfunction/degeneration in this disabling, currently incurable disease.Job Description Education and Qualifications Required:Medical Degree (mandatory)Residency in Neurology completed by the Spanish Minister of Health program.Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.Computer user level (Office package, SAP, etc).Organized and methodical person with high motivation and initiative.Interest in clinical research in Movement Disorders.Preferred:Papers, articles, abstract submissions to national or international congresses or impact factor journals will be highly evaluated.Demonstrated previous experience on clinical assessment on Movement Disorders (Parkinson's Disease, Atypical Parkinsonism, Dystonia, Huntington's Disease) are highly appreciated (certification on scales such as UPDRS, PDQ-39 are highly appreciated).Knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS, Stata, R and other databases are desirable.Experience and Knowledge Experience with SAP management program.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Ability to work with new information and communication technologies (e.G., APPs, wearable devices, remote monitoring).Main Responsibilities and Duties Participate as sub-investigator in Movement Disorders clinical trials phases I-IV
