Description Scopely is looking for a talented and experienced Senior 3D Character Artist to join our Star Trek: Fleet Command team in Dublin or Barcelona on a remote or hybrid basis.We can support applicants with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players.We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.Star Trek Fleet Command's ongoing success goes from strength to strength.Our in-house developed 4X MMO was launched in 2018 and continues to evolve, being consistently one of the top 10 gross revenue Massive Multiplayer Strategy games on the market.What You'll DoAs a Senior 3D Character Artist on the art team you will be working closely with the Art Director to make their artistic vision come to life, sculpting detailed high-poly character models as well as optimized low-poly versions for real-time game engine integration.You will also work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of experienced developers.Work with the Art Director to create visually innovative, high-fidelity realistic 3D charactersTranslate concepts into game ready assets by creating modular and reusable assetsEnsure that the final in-game characters are consistent with the initial conceptMust be able to drive an idea from conception to completionHelp establish and define 3D pipelines, standards, templates, and asset budgetsWork closely with technical artists in integrating 3D characters into Unity and applying textures and materialsYou will work efficiently to organize, prioritize and complete tasks within a schedule at high qualityConsistently delivering quality ideas and assets on timeWhat We're Looking ForYou will be able to demonstrate a history of creating stunning realistic character assets, ensuring likeness in your workExperience in shipping multiple titles in your career as a 3D character artistExperience in environment creation across different platforms (mobile and PC a bonus)Extremely proficient in 3D modeling: 3dsMax, Maya, Zbrush, Blender, etcExtremely proficient in 2D texturing: PhotoshopExtremely proficient in 3D texturing tools: Substance, 3DCoat, etcExperience in Unity importing and optimizing assetsPositive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedbackExperience with PBR materialsYou have in-depth knowledge of technical limitations and requirements for in game art assetsExperience with character rigging and skinningBonus PointsExperience in composing and posing charactersWorked on an owned IPEnjoy Sci-fiA passion for gamesPlease include a portfolio or PDF/links to examples of your work in the application.
