IT Infrastructure Specialist

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will work within established professional standards and practices to apply in-depth knowledge in an IT Infrastructure area of specialization.
Work is performed on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgement.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating, managing and monitoring the whole infrastructure of the Valencia's site including technologies like virtualization environment, virtual and physical servers, security tools, network components, backup, databases (DB admin), TS and others.
Upholding local security procedures to ensure adherence to all legal obligations, corporate directives, internal policies, and relevant external standards.
Maintaining relationships with vendors in order to keep up to date the whole infrastructure (licenses, versions and external support).
Maintaining relationships with corporate IT departments to support global initiatives and projects at the local level.
Managing and supporting user requests and managing infrastructure incidents.
Gathering business requirements and preparing documents based on those requirements (i.e.
requirements document, solution design, etc.).
Interacting with the business community and customers to understand business processes and define tools that can be leveraged to optimize the business process, security, and/or efficiency.
This role requires a high energy level and a passion for excellence.
It also demands strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work through technical issues with customers both remotely and in person.
Required skills and qualifications include:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, IT project management, security management, and Database administration.
Excellent technical knowledge in specialized domains.
Ability to analyze and understand business requirements and design solution specifications.
Proven skills in project management.
Organization and time management with little overall supervision.
Education and certifications include a Bachelor degree in computer software, industrial, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
