Summary: Qorvo's EDA Software Automation team is seeking a talented software engineer. The ideal candidate chosen for this role will provide user friendly, seamlessly integrated software for improved design methodologies, faster visualization of results, process control and improvements, and general automation. The candidate will use Python, and C++ in conjunction with existing Software and APIs.
Key Roles and responsibilities: Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programsDeploying software tools, processes, and metricsWriting and implementing efficient codeWorking closely with other developers and engineersTesting and evaluating programsDetermining operational practicalityProvide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems, or issuesTechnical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Excellent Python or C++ programming capabilitiesExperience with software product development experience preferred Well versed in Object Oriented Design (OOD), programming and design patternsExperience in SCRUM (Agile) development processExtensive experience in the full life cycle of the software design process including requirement analysis, design, prototyping, coding, documentation, implementation, and maintenanceStrong Version control skills (GIT, Perforce)Strong familiarity with the use of IDEsExcellent debugging and problem-solving skillsStrong understanding of algorithms and data-structuresPersonal Skills: Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail oriented, and responsible team-playerExcellent analytical skillsComfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced environmentPassion for innovation and emerging technologiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to handle multiple prioritiesDesired experiences: Excellent communication and presentation skillsFamiliarity with the use of PyCharm or Visual StudioGood understanding of electromagnetics or PhysicsExposure to Docker and containersBatch/Shell scripting experienceQT or similar U/I developmentRequired Education & Experience: BS ior MS in Computer Science with a SW development focus
