We are looking for a Data Engineer (Sales Domain) to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers.
By joining our team as a Data Engineer, you'll be the backbone of data-driven decision-making and If you're passionate about building scalable systems and shaping the future of data, keep on reading, as you might be the perfect fit for this job.Job DescriptionJob Title - Data EngineerWorking model - this is a Remote position (inside Spanish territory only)Team - you will join the Sales & Partnerships team within the Data Analytics department.Level - Professional (working in teams or individually on projects, with emphasis on technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people) Location - SpainContract - Permanent (36 h/week)What your impact will be:The activities of the Sales & Partnerships domain team are focused on reports, tables, analysis and, more generally, all sorts of deliverables related to company's sales data in order to create an important value in supporting decision-making of the businessThe candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of the team leveraging their engineering skills to acquire, manipulate, orchestrate and monitor data.Working in Sales & Partnerships domain team the candidate the candidate will have to work with multiple stakeholders from the business, partnership and product optimization areasThe candidate will be accountable for project results in terms of efficiency following department guidelines and value for the company.QualificationsYour expertise:At least 2 years of experience in similar role in a fast-paced environmentSQL advanced knowledgeExperience in Data ModellingExperience in ETL design, implementation and maintenanceExperience with workflow management engines ( Airflow, Google Cloud Composer, Talend)Experience with data quality and validationFluent in English both written and spokenDesirable: Programming languages knowledge ( Python, R, Scala, Java)Experience in analysing data to discover opportunities, address gaps and anomaly/outlier detectionExperience with Analytics tool ( QlikView, Tableau, Spotfire)Familiarity with digital and e-commerce businessAdditional InformationPerks of working with us:How we work together:- An inclusive, friendly, and international environment (you'll be working with colleagues from +10 countries and over 48 nationalities)- Shorter working week (36h as full time), with a half working day on Fridays- Flexible start and end of the working day- Possibility to work from anywhere for a period of time per year defined according to local regulationsHow we learn together:- Fri-Yays: half a day on Friday morning with a no-meeting mandate and dedicated to personal growth, learning and training and/or focus time.- Access to e-learning platforms ( Discovery, O'reilly - depending on the department), professional and managerial skills development training pathsOther perks:- 2 paid days off per year for volunteering purposes- Occasional social events to foster connections among colleagues- Travel industry discounts and flash exclusive staff fares- We support our employees through life's significant moments with leave options ( parental responsibilities, marriages, bereavements, relocations, etc.)
