You will manage legal aspects related to both our Payer business and Issuing Partners, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and mitigate legal risks.
You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior talent within the team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities: B2B Wallet Contracts Management: Lead the review and improvement of B2B Wallet contract templates, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (such as Bank of Spain) and enhancing contract clarity, execution speed, and protection for Amadeus.Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Manage negotiations and drafting of agreements with key Payer Partners, including fintechs, issuing banks, and other financial institutions, with a focus on security, data privacy, and compliance.Process Improvement & Automation: Collaborate with internal teams to identify automation opportunities for contract management and streamline the creation of bespoke agreements.Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation: Provide actionable legal advice on complex issues affecting our business, balancing regulatory risk with growth opportunities, and ensuring robust compliance in line with industry regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.
).Team Knowledge Sharing: Lead the development of negotiation guidelines and ensure knowledge transfer to the Payments Legal team, fostering continuous improvement and supporting junior team members.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Revenue Operations and other internal stakeholders to promote efficient collaboration and create seamless processes.What we're seeking: A law degree and admission to practice law, with experience in English law contracts considered a plus.Experience in the payments services industry and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and Bank of Spain regulations.Strong contract negotiation, drafting, and risk management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Proven ability to balance legal and regulatory risk with business growth opportunities.A passion for mentoring and developing junior talent, with a commitment to fostering a supportive, knowledge-sharing environment within the team.What do we offer?
