DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in orienting and training faculty, assuring that assigned faculty members are aware of the school's academic policies and procedures.

Assists in faculty evaluations and coaching sessions.

Assists Registrar and HR in developing a semestral class schedule.

Participates in weekly/monthly/scheduled meetings, prepares and files minutes/documents of the same.

Works in collaboration with the Director for Academics for matters related to academic operations.

Coordinates with faculty and Dean all instructions provided by the Director of Academics.

Serves as a focal person in terms of academic matters.

Assists in monitoring students who withdraw from courses and recommends improvement of processes to increase retention.

Assists in the inventory, ordering, and distribution of instructor materials/test papers.

Advises and monitors assigned faculty in maintaining student academic records and files to ensure they represent an accurate, complete, and current account of students' academic progress.

Monitors communication with at-risk students to ensure their academic success.

Requires the submission of course syllabi from the academic departments and ensures that these conform to prescribed or standard content and format.

Coordinates with the Deans the hiring of full-time and/or part-time faculty as needed.

Orients new Deans, Department Heads, and faculty in their duties and responsibilities.

Assigns teaching loads of faculty in coordination with Deans/Program Head and Registrar.

Checks test questions/evaluation instruments and grading sheets of faculty.

Conducts regular observation of classes.

Closely monitors attendance of faculty and takes the needed action in cases of absences, tardiness, or other forms of behavior inimical to the service.

Coordinates and makes constant/regular follow-up of the guidance functions of the faculty to help identify problem areas among students.

Resolves conflicts/lapses on academic matters and makes referrals to management whenever necessary.

Initiates and coordinates faculty and student participation in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.

Performs related functions and other duties and responsibilities as required by the CELTECH College Management from time to time.
