About the job : The purpose of the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role is to enhance and maintain the high availability and reliability of systems and applications, ensuring they effectively support business operations and contribute to a positive user experience. This role sits at the crossroads of software engineering and operations, adopting practices from both disciplines to create robust and efficient systems. Hybrid position in Madrid Responsibilities: Develop, Scale, and Automate: Building and maintaining automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations. Supporting script development for routine tasks automation and system efficiency improvement. Incident Management: Participating in on-call rotations and assisting in incident report documentation and analysis. Performance Metrics: Setting up and monitoring performance metrics, contributing to system health tracking. Cross-functional Collaboration: Acting as a liaison across teams for service quality and reliability. Capacity Planning and Management: Supporting capacity planning and monitoring usage patterns. Continuous Improvement: Reviewing processes for improvements and learning best practices. Security: Implementing security measures and participating in security training. What we are looking for: Must have skills: Monitoring, Logging, and Observability: Intermediate knowledge of tools. Automation: Intermediate in Python and Bash . Configuration as Code: Understanding of Ansible . Containerization and Orchestration: Intermediate knowledge of Docker and basic Kubernetes . Databases: Understanding in managing databases , and relational/no relational databases . Version Control Systems: Proficiency with Git . Valuable skills: Infrastructure as Code: Familiar with Terraform . Basic in Java and Spring Boot . Intermediate knowledge of Cloud Platforms . Understanding of Networking and Security .
