Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories, working together to enable a better, safer and more interconnected world.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Security Operations Architect, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our operations, managing SecOps functions including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM ), and orchestrating tasks within our Security Operations Center (SOC). Your responsibilities will span from identifying and defining system and security requirements to configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting security infrastructure devices and services. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical IT security areas such as Incident Handling, Problem Management, and Forensic Investigations.Key Responsibilities:Manage SecOps operations, overseeing SIEM and coordinating SOC tasks.Define system and security requirements, baselines, and controls for existing and new IT infrastructure developments.Contribute to the creation and documentation of SOPs in IT security areas.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices and services.Identify opportunities for automation and new technical solutions to enhance security posture and operational efficiency.Participate in the evaluation and selection of security products and solutions, coordinating Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and project management.The ideal candidate is passionate about security and possesses a depth of expertise in the field, coupled with a broad understanding of its various facets. They should embody qualities such as confidence, curiosity, open-mindedness, and a strong desire for continuous learning and growth within the cybersecurity domain.QualificationsProven work experience as a system engineer or security engineer.Technical proficiency in network, database, and operating system security.Familiarity with the latest security principles, techniques, concepts, and protocols.Hands-on experience with security systems includingantimalware/antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, authentication systems, log management, web application firewalls, VPN, Zero-trust, and cloud technologies.Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, SOCs, Microsoft Azure, antimalware & EDR Solutions (CrowdStrike), Zscaler, F5 WAF, Cisco Umbrella, and Firewalls is a plus.Skills:Passion for IT/Information security.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Embraces innovation and challenges the status quo.Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.Acts according to SGS standards of ethics and integrity.Comfortable working in an international environment.Desired Qualifications:MCSA, CCNA, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSA, CCSE, CISSP certifications.Additional InformationWhy SGS?Join a globally recognized and stable company, a leader in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.Enjoy a flexible schedule and hybrid work model.Access SGS University and Campus for continuous learning options.Thrive in a multinational environment, collaborating with colleagues from multiple continents.Benefit from our comprehensive benefits platform.Join Us:At SGS, we are dedicated to fostering an open, friendly, and supportive culture that thrives on teamwork.
