The ideal candidate will bring a substantial depth of knowledge in front-end web technologies, will play a significant role in shaping the user experience and function of our web applications, and will not shy away from getting hands-on in back-end and API work as needed. She/He will also actively contribute to all stages of Datamaran User Centric product development and display a keen interest in latest innovative technologies such as generative AI.In this integral position, we'll look to you not only for your comprehensive technical knowledge in front end development, but also for your contribution to product discovery through brainstorming, problem-solving and alignment sessions with the broader team. Your experience will be crucial in guiding more junior engineers on your team, ensuring we build and deliver truly user-centric and innovative products.A one thousand feet view of our tech stack:Our web application is built on node.js, javascript and vue.jsOur data stores include ElasticSearch, MongoDB and PostgreSQLOur server side and data pipelines are built in Python and FastAPIEverything is hosted on AWS, on EC2 or in lambda functionsResponsibilitiesContribute to design, build, and enhance Datamaran web applicationWork closely with UI/UX designers, product managers and other roles in an agile team to develop and implement new featuresDebug, deploy, and maintain large scale web applicationsParticipate in product discovery phases, bring invaluable insights regarding user-needs and potential solutionsRequirementsOver 5 years of professional front-end development experience across several projects, with a focus on HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), Node.JS. Nice if you have some experience with TypescriptProven expertise with modern web development tools and libraries such as React.js, Redux or Vue.jsUnderstanding of cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standardsMust have experience with source control systems like GitSelf-driven, detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to qualityExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalEmbraces and promotes development best practices, such as SOLID, unit testing, CI/CDBonus points and nice-to-haveExperience with web performance optimisationSome knowledge of backend frameworks in Python, like FastAPI, or demonstrable experience working with back-end technologiesAn appetite for learning new technologiesKnowledge of PostgreSQL, Mongo DB and ElasticSearchFamiliarity with DevOps and AWS, as well as DockerIf you are passionate about front-end development, agile methodologies and want to be part of a close-knit Scrum team, we would love to hear from youNote to recruiters:Thank you for your ongoing interest in Datamaran but there is no need reach out to the Hiring Team, HR, Recruiting....
