The role of the Transportation Claims Specialist is to oversee and manage the claims process within our organization, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims while maintaining high customer satisfaction and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities Claims Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of transportation claims, from initial filing to resolution.
Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of claims to determine liability and assess damages.
Coordination: Act as a liaison between transportation providers, customers, claim adjusters, legal representatives, and internal teams.
Documentation: Ensure all claims are documented accurately and comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with claimants and insurance companies to achieve fair and timely resolutions.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on claim activities, trends, and outcomes for management review.
Compliance: Ensure all claims are handled according to established procedures, laws, protocols, and agreements.
Experience and Knowledge Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in claims management, preferably in the transportation industry.
Proficiency in English; additional European languages such as French, Spanish, German, Polish, or Italian are required.
Technical Skills & Experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Knowledge of claims management software and systems.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
