.DescripciónThe Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. Research is organized in the following main areas: Malaria and other Infectious Diseases, Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health, Urban Health and Child and Environmental Health, Climate & Non-Communicable Diseases. ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.LugarBarcelonaWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORISGlobal is seeking a candidate research physician specializing in internal medicine or family medicine to coordinate and manage the recruitment of participants for a study, within the framework of a European project, to be carried out from the international health service of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.The overall project goal is to support the European and global response to the COVID-19 pandemic and VOCs by developing and pooling well characterised COVID-19 cohorts with sufficient genomic information worldwide and linking these with existing European and international initiatives. In the framework of this project, a prospective cohort multi-centre study will be carried out in major TropNet centres, enrolling returning travellers presenting to the study clinics with imported COVID-19, thus collaborating with the public health authorities of the countries of origin by taking advantage of our existing partnership.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIESParticipation in the recruitment of participants of the ENDVOC study at Hospital Clínic.Coordination of the recruitment process of all study participants from Tropnet network centers.EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGMedical Doctor with specialization in internal medicine or family medicine.Experience and knowledge on issues related to Global Health and travel medicine.Additional profiles will be considered if highly motivated researchers in other related disciplines.Desirable:Previous experience conducting clinical research.Record of obtaining research funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.LANGUAGES LEVELFluent in EnglishSpanish proficiency.CONDITIONSDuration: 4 monthsStarting date: 01/01/2025Contract: part time, 10h/weekSalary Range: Medical research fellow BHOW TO APPLYApplicants must fill in the request form and include the following code reference position: Physician_ENDVOC_Dec24, attach the CV and a Cover Letter.
